Given the beginning of the productive period of citrus fruits, the competent control bodies point out the obligation to standardize citrus fruits and their circulation with a maturity index of at least 6.5:1 (sugar / acid ratio).
Specifically, regarding the standardization in the marketing of citrus fruits, the attention of the producers is drawn to the following:
1. Observance of their minimum organoleptic characteristics
2. Non-use of dyes and special attention to the post-harvest handling of greened fruits (with approved plant protection products in circulation)
3. proper marking with:
a. packer / standardizer details
b. GR register, product and variety
c. origin, category, product size
d. indication of preservative use and batch number
4. non-trafficking-sale of import and export of citrus with stalk and leaf
